Chrystie Toth is a first generation circus performer and the newest member of the Flying Cortes Troupe. Born in New York, she has over ten years of competitive gymnastic experience to her credit.
Chrystie got her first real taste of circus while performing, working, and teaching in Club Med Resorts in Florida, Mexico, & the Dominican Republic from 2003-2006. She worked her way up in the company to being a supervisor of their circus program. During her time there, she was able to add many acts to her repertoire; such as Spanish web, aerial silks, and various forms of trapeze. Finding that her passion was in flying trapeze, she has since put most of her energy into perfecting her skills in that area.
Wanting to take her circus abilities to another level, she left Club Med and took a position with the Flying Vargas at the Circus Circus Casino in Reno, Nevada. There she performed in their flying trapeze act and her own aerial silks. At the end of her contracted season, Chrystie decided to hit the road touring with the Cortes Troupe.
Chrystie is continuing to pursue her dream of becoming an accomplished female flyer as well as to carry on the tradition of the Flying Cortes as being one of the most highly regarded and respected trapeze act in the circus world.
